The beginning of StudioPlus Software
Founded in 1995 by Matthew Hunt in Cambridge, MN, StudioPlus Software was originally called MB Hunt Software, Inc. It began as a custom software development company with a small team of two dedicated employees. Early on, the company focused on creating tailored software solutions, including accounting systems for small businesses, inventory management platforms, and even a booking system for local recreational facilities.
In 1997, MB Hunt Software, Inc. shifted its focus to develop StudioPlus, a studio management software. Officially released as version 1.0 in 1998, StudioPlus quickly became a trusted and widely used tool within the industry. Fun fact! During this time the term Holiday Run was coined as the employees loved to walk across the street to the local Holiday Gas station for a 3 PM snack break.
As the company grew, it outgrew their beloved office and embraced the advantages of a fully remote work model, enabling greater flexibility and efficiency. This evolution also led to relocating its primary business address to Florida. In 2019, Matthew Hunt passed the leadership mantle to his son, Josiah, ensuring the company’s legacy continued to thrive. Today, StudioPlus Software. remains dedicated to providing innovative software solutions for photographers and studio management professionals.
