Remember, you can set up statuses and workflows in the software that suit your studio –
there’s no single right way to do it. Work with Spectra/Stratus to find the best
way to make the Digital Workflow features function for your
studio. Here are some different ways to set up the Digital
Workflow.
-
Archive
Images after Capture – If you archive your images immediately
after capturing your hi-res images, enter a session status of “Archive
Images Pending” after “Session Previews Pending” and
associate it with the Archive
Images stage of the Digital Workflow. -
Pre-Sales
Retouch – If your studio retouches before presenting the images
to the client, set up a session status of “Pre-Sales Retouch
Pending” after “Create Previews Pending” and associate
it with the Retouch Images stage of the Digital
Workflow. -
No
Retouch – If your studio doesn’t retouch in-house, you can
remove the production status of “Retouching.” However, you
may still want to include a step where you make production notes about
any retouch the lab needs to do. -
Internal
Printing – If your studio prints images internally, we recommend
that you set up a new production status called “Image Printing
Pending.” -
No
Web Upload – If you don’t upload images to a website, you will
not need to use this Digital
Workflow stage. You can remove
the “Upload to Web” session status and simply skip this
stage. -
No
Production Orders – If you do not want to use the software’s Production Order
features, refer to Setting up Digital Workflow to see how to set up your Digital
Workflow without production
orders.
