Choose which payment methods your clients can use when they pay online, including through Online Booking, InspiredByYou, and your Client, Invoice, and Payment links. This setting is only available in the Stratus Online admin portal. It isn’t available in Stratus Desktop.
Before you begin: Payment methods are part of StudioPlus Payments, so you’ll need an active StudioPlus Payments account. New to Stratus Online? See Accessing Stratus Online.
Turn payment methods on or off #

Sign in to the Stratus Online admin portal at Admin.StratusOnline.com.

Go to Payments > Configuration.

Turn on the payment methods you want to offer your clients, and turn off any you don’t.
Payment methods you can offer #
Depending on your Stripe account and region, the options include:
- Link by Stripe — clients sign in to their Link account to use their saved payment details.
- Apple Pay and Google Pay — clients pay with an eligible digital wallet.
- Buy Now, Pay Later — Affirm, Afterpay, and Klarna let clients pay over time while you receive the full payment up front. See Buy Now, Pay Later Options.
- ACH bank payments — clients pay directly from a U.S. bank account. See Setting up ACH below.
Setting up ACH #
ACH needs one extra step in Stripe before you can turn it on. Until you complete it, the ACH option in Payments > Configuration is greyed out.

Log in to your Stripe Dashboard.

In the Capabilities section, click Edit, then click Request next to ACH Debit Payments.

Once ACH is active in Stripe, return to Payments > Configuration in the Stratus Online admin portal and turn on ACH.
Once ACH is on, each client must add and authorize their bank account in the online payment portal before it can be used. After that, the bank account can also be selected as a saved payment method in Stratus Desktop. See Online Payments for details.
Good to know #
- Not every client will see every option. Availability depends on your Stripe account, region, currency, the transaction amount, and each provider’s eligibility rules.
- Some payment methods, such as Buy Now, Pay Later, have higher processing fees from Stripe. See Stripe’s pricing.
- These settings apply to online payments. In-person payments with a card reader are set up separately. See Stripe Card Readers.
